The Most Popular Diets of 2014

Choosing a weight loss plan isn't easy. Here, Diets in Review reveals the top healthy eating plans for 2014

When it comes to choosing a diet plan, the options seem endless—especially with food crazes like gluten-free and the paleo diet grabbing more and more headlines. And while we know that the best healthy eating focuses on whole, real foods and plenty of fruits and vegetables, this year certain ways of eating proved more popular than others—at least on the Internet. In fact, Diets in Review (DIR) culled their site to see which diets were the most popular among their readers this year, coming up with the 25 Most Popular Diets

Which one ranked No. 1? The 17 Day Dietwhich probably made the top slot because of The 17 Day Diet: Breakthrough Edition; a new version of the successful 2010 book, DIR suggests—landed as the most popular on the list. How does the rest of the collection stack up? Weight Watchers slid in at number five, Jillian Michaels at seven, and even some new-comers made the round-up. Fit Bottomed Girls Anti-Diet was at 14, and Mayo Clinic Diet placed 15. Wondering what else made the list (and if you've tried any of the most popular plans)? Check out the top 17 diets of 2014, per Diets in Review, below.
